Merger announcement
Orange and JSA merge to form Orange Architects!
We – Patrick Meijers and Jeroen Schipper – are delighted to announce that, as of April 2020, Orange Architects and JSA (jeroen schipper architecten) have teamed up to form Orange Architects! The merger has created a multidisciplinary and internationally operating office for architecture, urban design, interior design and outdoor space. Within Orange Architects we have been working together on projects for the past decade, a collaboration that has already resulted in the completion of ‘The Cube’ residential tower in Beirut and the ‘Jonas’ project in Amsterdam, currently under construction. JSA adds 25 years of knowledge, skill and experience, with a large portfolio of exciting buildings.
Concept + Craft
The core values of both organizations complement each other in the new office. We connect our conceptual design skill with our knowledge and passion for ‘making’, which is powerfully expressed in our new vision: ‘concept + craft’. It is a vision in which the clear-cut concepts at the heart of our designs echo in the smallest details. This way of working calls not only for an out-of-the-box mentality, but also for a sound knowledge of the profession. Breathing life into concepts requires expertise in a range of fields, and the vision to integrate this knowledge into design in a natural way.
New website
In addition to the new visual identity, by graphic design office Enchilada, we are of course marking the merger with the launch of a new website, built by PMS72! We are delighted to invite you to visit the site. There you can find out about what we are working on now and what we had accomplished in recent years. The section headed ‘concept + craft’ expresses the Orange Architects vision on the profession in general and on sustainability themes in particular. Our office works on the basis of a broad definition of these themes, built upon three pillars: WORLD | WE | VALUE. Our mission is to incorporate and unite these themes in all our projects, from the first sketches to completion. This is how we want to make buildings that positively influence the quality of life.
Team
Orange Architects is located in the centre of the world port city of Rotterdam. Traditionally a city of national and international trade, a city with residents from around the globe. This is our home. We share with Rotterdam the identity of our company: creative, ‘hands-on’, proactive and international. We do this with a team of over 20 talented, skilled and highly motivated employees. Because, besides ambition, the translation of an appealing concept into a feasible design calls for extensive knowledge and experience with an innovative attitude. As a mixed and balanced team, we can deploy our knowledge and experience at all stages of design, right through to completion.
To conclude
We are looking forward to this new venture together with all of you – our clients, consultants, institutions, suppliers and colleagues. And despite the current extraordinary situation caused by corona, we are looking to the future with lots of energy and confidence.
