We believe that together we can create a sustainable built environment. Together with experts in the field of sustainability we share knowledge and with our integral design approach we incorporate sustainability in our buildings. We work with a comprehensive definition of sustainability, which is based on three pillars: WORLD, WE & VALUE, each divided by three themes. Our missions is bringing together all these themes, from the first sketch until the completion, to make buildings with a truly positive impact for a higher quality of life.





With our buildings we aim to have a positive impact on nature and the environment. This will be achieved by carefully picking sustainable materials and reducing the use of energy and water. In addition, we strive to make flexible and circular buildings that can adapt to changing needs or can be reused. Nature itself is an important aspect we carefully merge in our designs.



We believe that by carefully shaping the volume of the buildings in the early stages of the design process, with taking the local weather conditions into account, we can reduce the energy and water consumption. For the remaining energy and heating demands we integrate, together with energy and installation consultancies, sustainable installation concepts into our designs. Building materials should be carefully chosen based on their environmental impact, for example their toxicity or their ability to store CO2 inside.



Designing smart, circular buildings not only brings the opportunity of new circular business models, but will also radically reduce the need for new raw materials in the future. By taking the way of disassembly in mind during designing and working with a material passport during BIM modelling, the building can be a profitable resource in the future. We strive to bring flexibility in our plans to make spaces that can adapt to changing functions and needs in the future. This way the lifespan of the building can be increased.



Together with landscape architecture we integrate nature within, around and on top of our buildings. This has a positive effect on both, the health and well-being of the users and the biodiversity. Green spaces provide the opportunity for recreation, local food production and water storage when it rains. By collecting and storing rainwater the resilience against climate change will be improved, while it also can be reused as grey water inside the building.




In the WE pillar we address the positive influence of the building and its surrounding on the health and well-being of the users. We stimulate creating spaces for social interaction with healthy and comfortable indoor climates, as well as encourage making buildings for active users together with the integration of sustainable transport.



Our buildings are designed with taking the well-being of the users in mind. Based on the program we make spaces that bring comfort and security or spaces that maximize the focus and productivity. We make exciting spaces and architectural routes through the buildings that surprise and intrigue. With the use of natural lighting, the right materials and colour schemes, the well-being can be positively stimulated. Accessibility of the buildings is important to let everyone use and experience the architecture.



To stimulate the health of the users the buildings should have a comfortable indoor climate, provided with sufficient daylight. We encourage the activity of people by providing facilities for bikes and pedestrians as well as by designing spaces in a way that the use of stairs is promoted. By bringing green inside the building or by designing attractive green outdoor spaces, people are provided with clean and fresh air.



We want to design spaces in such a way that it stimulates social interaction between different users of the building and its neighbours by making communal spaces. Socialisation can be encouraged by making inviting spaces, creating the right atmosphere and using the right materials. Shared spaces for social interaction do not only improve the health and well-being of users, but can also ensure more affordable housing while giving the opportunity to provide a comprehensive program.






Our ambition is to create added value for the local context not only physically, but also in a social and economic way. In this pillar we pay attention to the local context of the building, its quality and robustness, as well as to the life-cycle costs. Our goal is to create something in consultation with and embraced by its users. By bringing all this aspects together, the building becomes an added value for the client, the users and the neighbours.



We conscientiously research what the building should be; a new icon in the neighbourhood or blended in the existing urban tissue to become part of a whole. When the building is scrupulously integrated in the surrounding, it can last for years without the need to change it. In addition, a well-considered design can generate economic added value to the neighbourhood as well as become a central point in social structures.



In our architecture, quality is of great importance. By using high-quality materials and detailing, we add to the robustness, durability and flexibility of the building. It will lower the maintenance costs as well as the need to replace materials, and has a positive effect on the life cycle costs of the building. By making buildings with a long term vision that age well over time, the building stays an added value in the future.



We believe that with efficient use of available space and attractive design of public space a place can be created that is embraced by users and people from the area. By designing it in dialogue with users and neighbours and integrating local culture, people feel part of the building and community. This creates a place where people want to be, where people meet and where people feel responsible for.
